Icy Muskegon Channel

jakelubbers2007-08-19photohighschoolmarchpic-webres.JPG This photo comes to us from Jake of Twin Lake, Michigan. He writes:

“I took this photo on a Sunday afternoon March 6, 2006. My mom and I were walking the north arm of the Muskegon Channel, when this photo opportunity presented itself. This formation came about during the melting of the ice beneath it. The bottom layer of ice had thawed, leaving the top layer exposed with icicles hanging from it.”

Many thanks to you, Jake, for sharing this picture with us.
