Flying through a Shaft of Light

ryanrogers2007-07-13photocontestadultwebresolution.jpgThis photo comes to us from Ryan in St. Paul, Minn. He writes:

“This photo was taken in early June from the north shore of Isle Royale (the land on the horizon is Ontario). My wife and I were hiking across the island. The first two days were mostly cloudy, but here on the second evening a shaft of light broke through as a cormorant flew along the horizon.”

Thanks, Ryan, for the photo. Beautiful shot.
