Jeff is right, the Asian Carp are a freshwater fish they do not need to adapt to the Great lakes, they will breed and feed which they are very good at, (3 to 4 times a year spawn) We are not totally without hope though. Google (common carp control using native predators) the principle is the same, carp grow past size native fish can eat then live 20 years. We need to rebuild our native fish populations to intercept the spawn attempt, we have no choice, once they get to big, they are too big and live 20 years spawning 3 to 4 times a year, thus they quickly overrun every place they went in the world, and they will here too if we do nothing.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3326','Tom Matych','Jeff is right, the Asian Carp are a freshwater fish they do not need to adapt to the Great lakes, they will breed and feed which they are very good at, (3 to 4 times a year spawn) We are not totally without hope though.
