About the Tour

The Healthy Lakes Healthy Lives Tour is organized by the Healing Our Waters® -Great Lakes Coalition, a group of over 100 fishing, boating, hunting, birding, conservation, and environmental organizations, as well as museums, zoos, and aquariums advocating together for urgently needed federal funding to repair aging sewage treatment systems, counteract invasive species, and clean up toxic hotspots around the Great Lakes.

The HOW Coalition is lead by the National Wildlife Federation and the National Parks Conservation Association with generous funding support from Peter Wege and the Wege Foundation, the Joyce Foundation, and many other public and private institutions. The Healthy Lakes Healthy Lives Tour is made possible by the cooperation and support of dozens of state and municipal agencies, chambers of commerce, civic organizations, marinas, and thousands of individual boat owners throughout the Great Lakes.
