Coalition partners are hosting a Great Lakes restoration tour in Milwaukee, Wis., August 10, which will showcase successful restoration efforts in southeastern Wisconsin. Attendees will be able to see how restoration efforts have transformed urban blight along the Milwaukee River into a riverfront park, and how a former golf course is being turned into a bird sanctuary.

The tour will also highlight ongoing restoration needs and opportunities, with a particular focus on the economic and ecological benefits of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.

U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore and Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele will speak.
