New grants will bolster Great Lakes restoration efforts

A group called Sustain Our Great Lakes recently announced $8.2 million in grants that will fund 34 Great Lakes restoration projects across the basin.

The grants are focused on projects that will improve the “quality and connectivity of tributary, wetland and coastal habitats,” according to a press release from the group. Sustain Our Great Lakes is a collaborative between government agencies and private organizations.

The grants will fund projects in all eight Great Lakes states and the Canadian province of Ontario. See the list of grants here.
