$9.2 Million in GLRI Funding Announced

This week NOAA announced it has awarded $9.2 million to nine different Great Lakes projects that will help restore wetlands, fight invasive species, construct fish passage and remove damns and barriers that are endangering fish habitat. The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative money was given to NOAA to administer to worthy projects.

“These projects to restore more than 700 acres of habitat and open more than 100 miles of river for migratory fish passage, are an important step in restoring the fisheries of the Great Lakes.” Click here to learn more about the projects that are receiving funding.
