Sen. Klobuchar Brings Great Lakes to Oceans Committee

This post is from Great Lakes blogger Dave Dempsey:

Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is a promising new member of the Congressional Great Lakes delegation, and a member of the key Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. She’s also been dubbed one of the “funniest freshmen” in the Senate.

In this interview with the Washington Post, she notes that she is the only member of the Oceans Subcommittee without an ocean, and gets advice from a colleague that next year she should ask for one. The big consolation prize: she already has Great Lakes for which to speak up on the committee.
